Frequently Asked Questions

What is a VIN number?⌄
The Vehicle Identification Number is a 17-character code unique to each car. You’ll find it on the registration card (Mulkiya), at the base of the windscreen on the driver’s side, or on the driver’s door frame. Japanese-market cars use a chassis number instead (e.g. ZVW30-1234567), which we also accept.
How long does it take to get the report?⌄
Usually under a minute. The vehicle lookup and preview are free; once you choose a report and pay, it opens straight away and the link is emailed to you.
Which countries are covered?⌄
You can check any car. Records are most detailed for cars that were once in the US or Canada, where auction and title records are rich. For GCC-spec cars we focus on UAE market data, recalls and known model issues. Japanese-market cars can be checked by chassis number.
Can I get a refund?⌄
If your report can’t be generated, or you believe something in it is wrong, email our support team and we’ll review it with you. The free preview shows which sections have records before you pay, so you know what you’re buying.
How accurate is the information?⌄
We show records exactly as our sources report them, with the source and date next to every fact. Sources can contain errors or gaps, so a report tells you where to look — it doesn’t replace a physical inspection.
Is my payment information secure?⌄
Yes. Payments are processed by Stripe on our checkout page; your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers.
Will the report show minor accidents?⌄
Only if they were recorded in our data sources — usually auction or insurance records. Minor repairs paid privately rarely appear anywhere. If nothing is found we say “no record was found in the available data sources”, never “no accidents”.
Do you provide reports in Arabic?⌄
Not yet — reports are in English for now.
Do I pay before I know if you found anything?⌄
No. The lookup and preview are free. We check our data sources first and show you which sections have records before you choose a report.
What’s the difference between Basic, Full and Premium?⌄
Basic covers recorded damage, title status, recalls and specifications. Full adds the mileage check, auction records, import history, a timeline and an inspection checklist. Premium adds auction photos (where available), UAE listings history and market value against the asking price.
Is this a replacement for an inspection?⌄
No — it tells your inspector where to look. Many buyers use it to decide whether a car is worth booking an inspection for at all.
Do I need an account?⌄
No. Your report opens straight after payment and a private link is emailed to you.
